just realized it is not online just in the store. i went in there yesterday in fredricksburg virginia and found one for 59 if I had known there were that many rebates i would have gone straight to cc and pmd it. this is an awesome deal peeps if you need wireless.

Just a word of caution. When read in plain english, when someone says to send in the UPC "from" the package, they mean the one "from" the package, not a copy of it. This might work, but I wold not think it has a very high liklihood without a fight.

The MFG $30 rebate only requires "A copy of the UPC barcode............" and use the original UPC for one of the $20 rebates (probably the CC rebate, instead of New Roc City rebate which might have a hassle anyway). PM to BB and get a total of $50 in rebates, comes out to $9.95 for a great wireless router. Be sure it's a version 2 router. Smokin Hot Deal!

Edit: Update, the BB price is $79.95, the PM to BB won't work, so you need to have all three MIR's to work to get it down to $9.95.

Picked this up in March...great router....ridiculously easy set up for me (I had little experience in networking).

Within a few minutes I had my wired network up and soon thereafter I had a pretty secure Wireless network up.

I just picked up one of these tonight and had my sister get one too. Called BB and the computer dept. guy quoted me a price of 59.99 / 39.99 after a 20 dollar rebate. I went to the CC in Overland Park, KS on 120th and metcalf and the service girl told me they were sold out, but she sold me two of these from the 95th and quivera store for me to go pick up. I told her that BB had this router for 59.99 and she PM'd it w/o any verification at all. The 95th and quivera store had 3 more of these routers after i got mine so if you're in the area you might have luck. If they won't PM it at the 95th and quivera store you might try going to the 120th and metcalf store and buying the router there and then pick it up at the 95th and quivera store. The BB i got the price quote from is on 115th and metcalf.

Im guessing these are version 2 models as the model number on the side is MR814v2

Have a Best Buy and a C.C., within sight of each other. Went to the B.B., and got the price sticker for the Netgear, as 59.xx out the door. Went to C.C., and asked if they could PM the out the door price. They said yes. And were talking about rebates afterwards, and then One rebate printed, and then two rebates printed. Sales lady, said that she probably shoulrdnt have.........., and I said, I probably wouldnt sent in the rebates, since they're a hassle, and So its 62.77 - 2x20 or $22.77, if I dont mind the hassle of the rebates. Not bad if I want to expirment with wireless. Maybe even will work with the Mac with Airport card.

Funny,..... young fellow at B.B., was quite the expert. He suggested, I just avoid wireless altogether because of the security problems. And the lower bandwidth. We discussed war something .... like I saw on T.V., collecting ip address. I went to C.C., not thinking I was going to buy, just walk thru the process, and ended up with a wireless router.

Will have some fun... now..

OK, got it up and running with the Mac G4. Just replaced my old Wired Netgear with this one. Searched Versiontracker and found :

which probably makes it a V2, since the update warns against using it if the unit already says V2. Cool, now I can work on Security issues, and the iMac upstairs, and getting a PC hooked up. I guess all I need to do is buy a USB adapter for a PC Desktop??
