I recently bought a WG511v2 wireless card by netgear. I installed it onto a laptop with windows 2k service pack 4. It keeps connecting to my D-Link router and then drops every 1 min. It's getting real annoying cause I will go on MSN Messanger or AIM or any internet type of program and it just drops out and comes back on. It seems like it continues to search for a new network every 1 min or so. My guess is that it's connected to the network, but then time passes it will scan for a new network, it makes no sense why it's doing this and netgear has no support for this...I should of listened to myself and stuck with the D-Link products, haven't had a problem with them so far. I tried deleting the driver and reinstalling it. The first 3 days I had it it worked fine, no dropping. 3 Days later the drops kept happening. There was nothing done those 3 days after that I noticed making the drops, unless if someone has used the laptop without my knowing...which was probably the case and if I ask anyone they will most likely say they did nothing. Has anyone had this problem with the netgear wireless cards, I have read a lot of dropping and problems with the netgear routers...from this experience I will never buy a netgear product again. Please if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated thank you.
