Where can I get a hold of this coupon??? Can it be used online? Or just at B&M?

i just got my router in mail today ... sooner then expected

I ordered Monday recieved Wednesday... its funny they put the rubber bands i ordered in a box that is as big as router box LOL

Anyways i have the WGR624v2

first time buying from Staples, proabaly not the last, theyre service is actually damn good

Oh and i should say this router was a breeze to setup and works liek a charm so far, everythign is easy and has alot of helpful notes for newbies, the wireless signal is good too. I got between 11- 54MBps walking aroudn my house with doors closed etc. If there is a wall it went to about 24Mbps and if theyre were a few walls/doors it was 11Mbps.

PS. I found a B&M coupon and called in to there ohone number and this lad was very nice and applied the coupon for me, since it wouldnt work online, or with her (she used a special code ie. 9999 at OD)

So do you order online, then call in after you place the order and ask a customer service rep to do a price match on your order?

the coupon i was using, you were supposed ot print it out to use inj store, but it also said valid on phone and inet orders

and i couldnt get it to work using the whoel 12digits so i called in and she said its a vlaid coupon so she told me to place order online and give her the order number and she would apply coupon

so try using the coouns found in other thread and if it wont work have ur cart ready and call in and tell her your coupon isnt working, if they ask where u got it from say it was emailed to you

and then she will proabbly tell you do smae thing i did, where you place order with her on the phone and then she applies coupon

hope that helps

So how long did you wait after ordering with the coupon, before you called to do the PM. Did they just need your order number??

v3... whoa ... even newer!

i called back one minute later, and i had no proablem doing the pricematch

yeah v2 woohooo, but its giving me problems, on one of my computers that is plugged in using the WIRED router, running windows XP with manually configured network address

it will randomly disconnect me and and say for 1sec "Network Cable has been unplugged", im gonna call theyre support and see why

I also updated the firmware to the newest one for v2 that was 4.0.4 and from 2004, it came with 3.0.2 from 2003, but it says v3 so im not shure why that is.. any ideas?

PS. My bad it is v2 but where it sasy FCCID it says v3, oops

I called in to tech support he said try exchanging router for a different one

I asked hiim if i shoudl just turn SPI off, but he said that would be a temp fix and that i shoudnt have to do that

Any word on interference? I have a few 2.4Ghz items in my house (Panasonic Phone and Logitech XBox controller) and as I've read that the way this Netgear works could cause more interference I was wondering if anyone had any practical experience. Sounds like a hot deal I'd like to get in on. Tks!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS ROUTER!!!!

It is a P.O.S. that for sure, i even got it exchanged and same problem, alwasy disconnecting my LAN, and rebooting for no reason.

I searched online and I am not only one with this problem, seems that 99% of these things are bad and constanly reboot and disconnect you.

I was excited about getitng this in the first place, now i regret it sooo much, nothing but headaches for the past week.

NETGEAR SUCKS! ill never buy theyre products again, i think i will wait for a good deal on LinkSYS witht the hacked firmware you get a motherload of features you cant get naywhere else.

ALSO if anyoen who bought this and has one, can you please post about your reutls, it it reboots etc.... I'm suprised i am only one

I decided to go with the MR814 from Amazon. Much less hassle, and i hate dealing with CSR

I've had two Netgear products (MR814v1) and this one...neither have given me trouble. It needs to be reset every few days, but that's not a huge problem for me. Been working flawlessly, and signal strength is great!

I have one netgear product, the RT314 router, and it has never given me any trouble. I bought it used off of ebay, and currently it has over two months since i last reset it.

Any idea why it needs to be reset so often? Is that happening with just your new super G model? I planned to set one of these up in a small office environment but I sure don't want to be hassled every time it goes down

Anyway, I blew it with the CSR today and then had her cancel my order as I figured I'd go with the CompUSA offer (router and card for $99 AR), but they're sold out now. I learned, to never, never, get too talking with a Staples csr. I had the deal pm'd but after being told it would show up as a credit in the next cc statement, I kept asking if there was any way it might show up on my Staple's account. Dumb! Gave her enough time to notice the coupon usage. arrrgghhh. Maybe I'll give it another try

but needs resetting every few days??

I tried this deal today. For some reason they said because of the model number they could not do it. I told them everything about the picture on there website, the na is north america, the netgear website, the whole nine yards! I tried twice and they CLAIM this deal was turned down in there records because of the na at the end of the product number.....the lady when i called the second time said she will have to call be back NEXT WEEK?!?! to try to clear it out....any help would be awesome!

Thanks
ricky

PS u think there just acting this way cause i am and sound 14?

Not a great deal as I am awaiting my 3rd replacement just trying to get one that works for more than 3 days. I was hoping to stream video from my HTPC but don't know if its going to happen. I may have to do an RMA and get a different model/company. I am tired of spending 1 hour speaking with tech support to be told yeah looks like you got a bad one let me send a replacement.

I'd seen people returning these routers to Fry's and noticed a bunch of Fry's "inspected by" labels on shelve boxes. I was hoping that probs had been fixed by now. Maybe I should just get another USR for my bro.

I just got the third one in and wow it is working like a champ. I does have the 12v adapter (large wall brick) vs the little 5v ones that the bad ones came with.

I have not seen 108 mbps network cards.... am I missing something, or is this just some bonus technology for netgear only routers?

802.11b, 802.11g compatible among different mfg's. The 108mbps G+ (what NetGear call's their prop hw). Wireless, not a wired NIC, and not as fast as a wired 100 NIC, no matter what they say. This router does have 4-ports also
