OfficeMax has some deals on Netgear wireless routers and adapters this week with no mail in rebates rebates. Circuit City has same products with mail in rebates. PM them at Circuit City and use the rebates there.

has anyone tried this yet? I'd love to pick up a wireless router free after rebate, but I don't get paid until tomorrow.

I just came back from Circuit City with a super-G router, PCI card, and USB antennae.

Total out the door price was $130 with tax. Subtract $100 in rebates and I'd say I got a pretty damn good deal.

THANK YOU KAMAKAZIRCR!

I work at CC, and supposedly you're not supposed to get the rebates, but people get them anyway.

can we print out the online ads and have circuit city b&m pricematch to that? Or do we have to have the actual ads?

sorry if I'm missing something here...but...you said circuit city has $30 rebates each for both the router and adapter, and plus the $30 bundle rebate? From the links that you posted, I only see a $10 rebate for the adapter, $25 for the router, plus the $30 for the bundle rebate...

again sorry if I missed something...

Yeah, this is messed up now. Circuit City's website still says there is a $40 MIR for the router yet the form itself only has it as $25. The cards are only $20 MIRs on the form as well despite the website saying $30. The forms don't agree with the website! Dammit!

ok I thik I got what's going on here...
The $30 rebate listed on their site are both for the combined bundle rebate, so it's not $30 each, but $30 for both together, since the site says "w/ combined purchase". With the other two rebates combined, the $10 (If you choose either the router or adapter) and the $20 (again router or adapter) one, they can both be used (I think) for an extra $30 rebate, so a total of $60. With CC's 110% pricematching + $60 in rebates, you do come out with a tiny bit of profit in the end....assuming CC does honor the rebates.

Although the rebate doesn't mention it, I wonder if you can check both the router and adapter options on the rebates for the $10-15 and the up to $25 rebates. If you can't, I wonder then if you can send in the same form but with a different product checked, and send it in separately with the correct UPC code. If you can do that, that'd be an extra $30 in rebates, for a total of about $36 profit (so just like the original poster said...).

Here's the breakdown of it
CC 110% pricematching:
. Router $26.99
. Adapter $26.99
. Total (before tax) $53.98

Rebates
. Up to $25 on Netgear product rebate (WGR614) $20
. $10-$15 on select Netgear products (WGR614) $10
. $30 on combined purchase of R+A (WGR614+WG111) $30
. Total $60

In the end = -$6.02

PLUS the maybe rebates (sending it in again with different product UPC)
. Up to $25 on Netgear product rebate (WG111) $20
. $10-$15 on select Netgear products (WG111) $10
. Total $30

At the very end = about -$36

SOOOooo it turns out the poster was right after all, it was just a little confusing trying to add up all the rebates together.

yea i think what's goin on here is, the $40 for your super g is the combined two rebates together, of $25, and $15. Same with the PCI card and the USB adapter. Except the combined rebates for each of those come out to $30. Just gotta send in the form multiple times I guess. I think the rebates only allow one upc code per mail? Except of course for the bundle rebate.

Yeah, good luck with Netgear rebates. They are one of the worst around. Denied my rebate in June and one last year. I called and had to threaten them with sending the info to the att. general in my state. They said my serial number was bogus even though I had the router right in front of me and told them so. Eventually then relented and approved my rebate, but I just got the $20 15 days ago from June 3, so about 4 days shy of 4 months to get a lousy $20.

dang...circuit city wouldn't give me the price match since they have the rebates listed in their database or site. Oh well. $30 still for a router still good. Not as good as free, but still good lol. I don't have a need for the adapter really since the computer downstairs is very rarely used. I just want the G for my laptop. I was thinking of going back to Best Buy (where I got my router for $30 out the door), and returning it so I can get it with the router + adapter bundle, since they have two rebates totalling $40, which then makes it $30 after rebates. Now I'm just wondering if I should go through the trouble with rebates or just take what I need for the $30 ...

When I went to the store, I purchased the 108MB PCI Card. They were willing to pricematch, but would only give me the one $20 rebate and not the circuit city one. I didn't want to argue for the $10 rebate, as a final price of $20 + tax is still really damn good

Just an FYI for people maybe buying that Wireless USB adapter for their Tivos:

Only adapters with serial numbers starting with WG72 work with Tivo - if it starts with any other serial number it won't work. The serial number is right on the box.
