Hello,
Looking to setup new system and need to figure out which switch / routers will be best for my setup. I am opening small shop that will have multiple phones and network requirements. I will need to setup approx. 4 different Wifi networks for security and public use. as well as have a voip setup from comcast. I will have 1 gbps service and 5 static ip addresses. If anyone can point me in the correct direction for equipment, that would be greatly appreciated.
From comcast for our phone system they sent me this:
Make sure there is an Ethernet Switch/Router/Firewall
• 1 available Ethernet port for Edgemarc Router
If your switch is not POE a 110 - 120v AC outlet is required for each device
Is this Converged or a non-converged Network?
• If site is converged we will need the following;
• 1 IP address outside the DHCP range to run the Edgemarc
• Enough Available DHCP addresses for all phones
• Non Converged, Separate Ethernet wiring and Switch dedicated to phone network
• Ethernet ports for all phones and Edgemarc
• Edgemarc handles DHCP for phones
