3 computers of interest in our lab.
computer A is not allowed to connect to the outside world.
it ran some stuff back and forth with B via a crossover cable.
computer c was connected to the internet. we tried switching B and C, replicating all the internet settings, but computer C doesn't even detect a connection at all when we hook it up to A.
Are some network cards not compatible with crossovers?
Do we need to install some kind of new internet connection to get it to register?
edit: nevermind, fixed the problem. card was juiced to 100 Mbps while the other could only handle 10.
