I just did a fresh install of XP pro an main system and my backup system is XP home. I have a netgear router connecting them to my cable internet. I ran the network setup and it worked fine my main system saw the backup fine but the backup only saw itself. I could access the shared folder like I needed to so there was no problem to today. I need to access the files today and opened my network on the pro system and double clicked on the backup system and the computer dissapeared my network places is not in the start menu anymore and there is nothing in my network places and workgroup shows nothing. I have two connections in network connections but cannot delete the first one as it was the network connection. I have since reu the network setup again and it is still the same way no network what gives. I need help
Some how file sharing got turned off in the backup system. I can see the folder and access the files not but cannot transfer the files I get this message
Cannot copy or transfer file name access is denied
make sure disk is not full or write protected and the file is not in use.
Now what is causing this message? I have the firewalls off
