network share problem

I've come home from college and hooked in to my father's home network connected to a dsl line. Everything works fine except that the other computers on the network cannot get access to mine. My computer is there but when they try to enter through the neighborhood network, it asks for a password and none work. I've set up the sharing so that there is no password and giving access to everyone. I can get to their computers no problem. The only reason I can think of is that I'm running win2k and they are both on win98. Any help is welcome. Thank you.

You need to set up user accounts on the win2k machine that the win98 machines will use to gain access. Go into the control panel, then user accounts. Now just create accounts for the 98 machines.

I went to control panel, users and passwords - but this just seems to create new users to logon to my computer, and doesn't seem to have anything to do with sharing. Am I missing something? Some more info - when my dad tries to get to my computer it says he is trying to connect to: \\mycomputername\IPC$ and then waits for a password, and of course no password has yet worked. Ideas? Thanks.
