I have a strange one here. I am trying to set up a LAN between 2 win2000 computers using a cross over cable. I thought things were working out but having some problems.
I can ping both computers from computer 1, but I cant ping computer 1 from computer 2. I can access the hard drives on computer 1 from computer 2 but can't see anything from computer 1. I thought this was strange.
Since I can see each computer with one method or another,, I assume that it is not a problem with the cable. I have the IP's as follows:
computer 1 - 192.168.0.2 subnet 255.255.255.0
computer 2 - 192.168.0.3 subnet 255.255.255.0
I have IPX enabled and netbui. there is nothing in the DNS area or WINS.
What could be wrong
Thanks for any help.
Paul
