Hello,
maybe somebody does have an idea ...
I do have a small network with Notebook, Network switch and digital VCR. The digital VCR is having an onboard Intel network solution (with the latest drivers installed).
Very often I do have really bad networking performance (netIO shows 100kByte/s (more than 11000 would be normal for a 100Mb Ethernet). When having this problem I start a network diagnostic (embedded in the Intel driver solution). After this netIO reports 11500kB/s what is OK. There has to be one Parameter that changes during the Network diagnostics, but I have not found wich one so far!.
Does anybody have an idea which parameter could cause my problems (it ist not MTU setting), or how I could find the Parameter (any software tool, ...) ???
The next problem is not that big, but also annoying. Calculating from the transferrates the time for 1GB of data it would be about 90sec to transfer 1GB. Usually my files are 2GB, as I restrict the files size of my VCR to this size. But when having the good connection it takes about 3 times the theoretical time to transfer 1GB. I can live with this, but it is not nice ...
Does anybody have an idea, why this happens ???
thanks
Hermann
