I'm graduating with an Associates' in PC Support and Administration with an emphasis on Network Administration this summer along with 3+ years of experience managing Win 2003, XP, and network hardware (not to mention extensive PC hardware repair-construction skills), anyone who knows of a suitable position is more than welcome to let me know. Any advice, etc is very much appreciated too.

Cincinnati, OH area but if it pays well I might relocate. I'm only making 21K now so just about anything is a step up.

hopefully this is ok to post here...

I'm going to be in the Bay Area for the summer, SSF specifically.
I'm looking for an internship in Accounting somewhere, I've applied online to the only postings I could find right now, but am looking for more just in case. I could really use the experience, and since I'm out of state its not really easy to set one up, but I'm trying.

I'm not looking for handouts, even just a link to an app on a website is good.

I'm particularly looking for Internal Auditing internship.
Now a little about me,

I will be starting as a Senior Accounting student in Fall 07, I have experience with IDEA Auditing software, and all the usual productivity suites.

I'm also looking for a company that might be willing to take me after I graduate in Spring 08.

Enough said.. and pretty true. Everyone is really happy and youthful here.

Great, how do we get started?
- Find 3 jobs that you like from
http://www.google.com/intl/en/jobs/index.html
I recommend picking 3 from different departments. The reason is because if you apply all for 1 department, if that 1 hiring group decides you aren't qualified.. you lost all 3 chances. Also, if you apply for 1 position in a department, if the recruiter of that dept.. feels you are qualified for another position in that position.. they'll most likely let you know and ask if you are interested.

- Get your resume setup. Common sense here.. don't have a 4 page long resume.. don't write your weight, marital status on your resume.. etc.

- PM me and I'll tell you what to do next. (emailing me your resume, etc.)

Please do not
- ask me to review your resume
- ask me to find you a position
- ask me how the interview went
- try to convince me to hire you.. I'm not the recruiter.

I just applied to work for Google's legal team.... wish me luck!! *crosses fingers*

Got this from a friend:

The Federal Aviation Association is taking applications for air traffic controller school.

We all have kids and know kids in the right age group (under 31) and with some effort they could reach a salary of over $100,000 with benefits in about 3 years. You need only a high school diploma to apply and credit is given for college on the exam.

They need to go to faa.gov
http://www.faa.gov/jobs/job_opportunities/airtraffic_controllers/

for details and to fill out the application immediately - even if they don't know if they'd want to attend immediately - it's the federal government and it may take them months to call.

The key is to apply NOW.

There will be a lot of retirements coming up rather quickly and they need to line up training to accommodate these openings. It's my understanding that the FAA rarely has an open application such as this and that the jobs are coveted. My friends daughter is 28 years old and is well into 3 figures and has plenty of time for travel/recreation and
has started another career on the side.

This is a great opportunity and she suggests that choosing a site like Anchorage or Indianapolis to train is a likely acceptance into the training program - after-which you can transfer anywhere in the country that has a tower.
