General Internships ($12-14/hr. PT & FT) on all three shifts, flexible scheduling in terms of days. No real experience necessary for these, just general aptitude and being in school.
*nix Systems Engineers
2nd/3rd Shift (These positions are new, management wants 24x7 platform/storage technical support)
Description:
The preferred candidate will be the full-time Tier II technical resource supporting open systems platform, storage, and LANs for the Global Data Centers. Responsibilities will include implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the infrastructure and LAN network on a back shift, including holidays and weekends. This role provides priority support to the Global Data Center Operations? team and communicates periodically with the Global Infrastructure Engineering teams on systems status, including system changes, problems, enhancements and potential impacts. Additional responsibilities include maintaining system design, network, and application level troubleshooting. Candidates must possess strong analytical and communications skills, strong technical competence, an ability to learn fast, and strive to utilize available resources to resolve complex problems.
Requirements:
Required experience:
A Bachelors degree in CS/EE or comparable technical field or must have a minimum previous experience of 3+ years Unix (HP-UX, Linux, Solaris) in a 7x24 commercial production environment, excellent troubleshooting skills and experience in preventing issues proactively, and experience with eliminating single points of failure in applications (H/A and clustering packages) and system (multipathing, dual homing, etc) components.
Preferred: 3+ years experience with enterprise storage administration, implementing high availability and Disaster Recovery configurations, system performance monitoring, kernel tuning experience. Disciplined at developing and maintaining work docmentation, activity logs, developing operations instructions. Demonstrated scripting skills (sh/ksh, perl); C/C++, SDLC experience and monitoring tools experience (OpenView NNM, Perfview) is a plus.
Desired Experience: EMC SYMM and Clariion, EMC tools such as ECC, Solutions Enabler, SRDF, SANCopy. Experience with HP Service Guard, Legato AAMHP-UX, Linux RedHat, Disaster Recovery testing experience. Overall IP knowledge; knowledge of Cisco (data Center) switches; Routing, Spanning tree, trunking, VLAN, HSRP, and DNS knowledge, Firewall (Nokia Checkpoint, PIX, Linux IPtables); experience with engineering, configuring, installing, maintaining, and upgrading local area networks. Experience with configuring and deploying OpenSource applications and tools in an Enterprise environment is also a plus.
Duty Manager
Third Shift (new position, manage technical and emergency response calls, ensure ITIL compliance, manage projects, etc., WEEKENDS INCLUDED)
Description:
The Data Center Duty Manager reports directly into the Director, Global Data Center Operations and serves as a member of a ?Duty Manager Team? for respective hours worked. They are responsible for managing the technical disciplines within the Operations Command Center. The ?Duty Manager function? ensures 24x7 proactive incident response. This includes, but is not limited to; Coordination and management of technical support team resources globally (all tiers/levels, remote or onsite), to facilitate proactive incident management, drive resolution, event communication and drive post follow-up activities and action items. They proactively manage changes to the production environment, provide incident and problem management, ensure SLA's are adhered, and represent the Operations Command Center in project work. The scope in terms of services: fully end-to-end, including hardware, infrastructure, applications, services and networks globally.

The Vice President, Global Data Centers and Technical Services will have leadership responsibility for maintaining and managing the overall operation of the global network and data centers around the world, as well as our 24/7 Technical Services organization supporting platforms, storage, networks and applications. Specific responsibilities include:
* Maintain day-to-day operations of our global data centers, and manage to specific SLA?s (Service Level Agreements) for the solutions we deliver.
* Establish a seamless process for implementing change into the environments without disrupting the infrastructure and operations or customers.
* Provide leadership and a motivating and rewarding environment for approximately 100 team members in a global, 24/7 environment.

He/she will provide continuous monitoring within their given area of responsibility, while controlling work flow and operational activities which affect their environment.
