I'm sorry but this isn't nearly as good a deal as it sounds. It is Neutrik's "REAN" brand, which is a cheaper brand "by Neutrik".

The connectors that I got are sturdy enough from a mechanical standpoint and will probably serve my pedalboard fine. However, it isn't professional material, and that is obvious right when you look at the upper half of the connect (the lid). It is pure plastic with no metal. There is no shielding in half of this plug.

Try the GLS Audio 1/4" right angle pancake plugs. 20 for $20, or 100 for $70. They're sold by Orange County Speaker; direct or through Amazon. They work.

I was surprised to see that they are REAN, now a subsidiary of Neutrik, and that what I got is not the old Neutrik brand, but they are similar and still great looking design for such a low price. Time will tell...

Yeah, as stated these are not the quality neutrik jacks, they are low cost neutrik and go for $1.08 each on markertek.

Something like this is pretty standard for professional quality in right angle. Neutrik also has more expensive ones than this, but these are very good.

Still pondering whether I should send these back for a refund. I got 40 pieces for 48 or so dollars. Shipping back is at least 10 so the cost is < $1/each. Shielding is incomplete but hey it's not that most guitars have useful shielding.

It's probably not a big deal, especially since it's for a pedal board. The pedal casings will be near by, they will give some limited shielding too.

Speaking of guitar shielding, my old Les Paul has a foil sticker on the back of the control cavity cover, and it isn't even grounded to anything...
