Wait, wait, wait.
So you're telling me that a whole bunch of right wing pundits supported this anti-government loon out of spite for Obama and are shocked SHOCKED to find out he's a racist?
That is literally unbelievable.
Well in their defense they weren't shocked that he was racist, they were shocked that he was dumb enough to be honest about it. It is common knowledge that rabid conservatives are racists, most of them however are smart enough not to blatantly advertise it.

I'm actually wondering in context how wrong this Clive dude actually is. I'm sure he's racist (not a big deal), but doesn't really change the intent of what he was saying...
Can you prove that?
I am wondering where Spidey and SpatiallyAware are at. I'd like to know if they feel the Government would be correct in shooting these dummies because they are obviously holding their weapons in a threatening manner.

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/bundy-explains-slavery-remarksIn an interview with conspiracy extraordinaire Alex Jones, Bundy said he would appreciate it if The New York Times retracted their story.
"I would appreciate that. I think they should do that," Bundy said. "They're making it a racist-type thing. I'm not racist."
Bundy also went on The Peter Schiff Show to explain his remarks, as Mediaite reported. Noting that the word on the Internet was that Cliven Bundy is a racist, the host asked if Bundy wanted to clarify his remarks. Here's what Bundy said:
I'm wondering if they're better off under a government subsidy and their young women are having the abortions and their young men are in jail and their older women and children are sitting out on the cement porch without nothing to do.
I'm wondering: Are they happier now under this government subsidy system than they were when they were when they were slaves and they was able to their family structure together and the chickens and the garden and the people have something to do.
So in my mind, are they better off being slaves in that sense or better off being slaves to the United States government in the sense of the subsidy. I'm wondering. The statement was right. I am wondering.
Bundy lost his Acme dog whistle and spewed forth comments that are racial in content.
Hannity et all had to have known this was coming. Maybe not so soon or so blatant, but they knew. They just didn't care because they knew their core viewership at worst wouldn't care either or even sort of agree with him. I hope they keep giving Bundy all the media exposure he wants.

**I want to be very clear about this I am not trying to defend this Bundy dummy**About 25 years ago I had an economics book (not a loony right wing book a regular one from a State school) that spoke about how slaves were essentially property and owners generally took better care of them as property than as workers because workers were easier to replace after the Civil War. I cannot remember all the points but there were some good arguments about food and housing. I do remember the preface talking about how the value of respect, family cohesion (the family won't be broken up because someone is sold) is priceless so the topic was kept to simply a money discussion.
I would bet he read a similar article and is ham handedly trying to make a point that is completely outdated and irrelevant at this time and silly to even suggest.

The funny thing is that I don't know that I'd call his comments racist, precisely. I'd call them ignorant, insensitive, and easily taken as racist, but there may be a legitimate point buried in there that he is not smart enough to articulate in anything other than an offensive manner.
http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/clive-bundy-the-spanish-immigrants"Now let me talk about the Spanish people," Bundy said in a new video unearthed by New York magazine, right after he concluded his thoughts on "the Negro."
"I understand that they come over here against our Constitution and cross our borders," he says. "But they're here and they're people. I worked side-by-side a lot of them. Don't tell me they don't work, and don't tell me they don't pay taxes. And don't tell me they don't have better family structures than most of us white people."
"When you see those Mexican families, they're together. They picnic together. They're spending their time together," he said. "I'll tell you, in my way of thinking, they're awful nice people. We need to have those people join us and be with us."
Show me.
Oh shit, I bet Hannity et all were not expecting this:

He's gone against the script, they really are going to scramble to distance themselves now.
I can't wait for his take on the gays. The suspense is killing me.
