it's a skill somewhat i did lots of it 20 years ago

but I did it out in the country roads were if I lost I wouldn't hit anyone, the worst I would have done is take a farmers fence out

I have an outtake video of this kind of event

Its ridiculous. Spectators were parking their cars along the side of the road and standing there. There was untold carnage. I think the vid circulated here a while ago, if not I can put it on the FTP (if it ever comes back)

for those that say that drifiting is not a skill, go take a hairpin curve, ya know, one marked for 15mph or less, at 45mph or better in any kind of car, fwd, awd, or rwd, and keep it on the road, inbetween the lines, without the car swerving wildly. then come back and tell me it does not require skill

the e-brake is the major friend of fwd drivers. some can do it by lowering the pressure in their rear tires and using the foot brake, depends on how you want to go at it

well, I use e-brake too but my car won't go sideways like that. (well, i got drum brakes on the rear nevertheless). I did manage to drift on my FWD once when there's snow. it was quite fun. (it was a parking lot, for your safety nazis)

I've drifted my car, got it completely sideways on an off ramp. safety nazis can kiss my arse. try lowering the tire pressure in your rear tires if you want to slide it, 2psi less than the front should do it depending on the weight balance of your car
