Currently you can make enough Astral Diamonds to get a key in 2 days (and the time required keeps going down), so another moot "p2w" point.
Not really you're not forced to pay. You can get what you need without paying a dime although you are highly encouraged to pay because of the Zen to Astral Diamond valuations. It's 100% pay to win
So it's more like pay not to grind.
Which for a lot of people does = p2w.
there are some items that exist only in the money shop though.
Lag can be pretty bad at times; I know they're working on it.
GWF is a terrible class in the beginning; I can attest to that. However, many have stated that later on they're amazing at AOE damage. I haven't gotten that far. I wouldn't expect a GWF to be able to match a TR in 1v1 dps.
Can someone explain the "p2w" currency in the game? I see so many different icons in stores I'm not sure what's what.

It's the same non-objective folks that are grasping at straws, trying to find any reason to bash the game, likely without having played it. Probably because of dislike for cryptic. It's just old and tiring at this point, yawn.
Like you said, nothing I've seen in the shop is required to win. You can use them to skip a grind, but the game so far has been very fun.
Someone with 10 grand can go to the auction house and get bis everything with best enchants, mount, full 24 slot bags, without even walking into an endgame instance.
I wouldn't even touch pvp
If the game lasts a few years and holds a decent population: Then the people who play regularly 2 maybe up to 4 or 5 hours 3-5 days a week will be able to go toe-to-toe with, and beat, the noob who payed insane amounts of money up front.
It depends on the how well they do PvP
it would be easy I think to bracket any competitive PvP play by how much they actually spent in the Store.
Unless of course they keep adding better stuff that you have to then grind for, while the noobs pay to get. Then you are stuck on a never ending treadmill trying to catch up to someone that just buys the new gear that always comes out just before you are able to earn it by playing.
But how is this any different from the older MMO games where the guy who plays the game all day every day is first to everything while the people who have lives and responsibilities in real life are on that same never ending treadmill trying to catch up?
Because it is reversed. Now it is not the people that are dedicated enough to give up their lives so they can play the game 8 hours a day that get the reward but the person that plays a few hours a week but can afford to pay $100 to get the good gear. To a lot of people that feels unfair. A lot of people believe the game should be self contained and how well you do should depend on your skill and dedication in the game not depend on how much disposable income you have outside of it.

some people make 1 million dollars a day some make 1 million in 50 years. everyone has 24 hours in a day
And to counter, a lot of people feel it's unfair that those who spend hours upon hours playing every day are at an unfair advantage compared to those who can only play half as much or even less.
Until they start selling I Win PVP Buttons in the real money store, I don't see any problem with letting people skip past some of the grind.
hmmmm, Paycheck every week or a depressing existence that consist of gaming all day long and wondering if you will be on the street and lonely at age 60? Gee guy, I could see where you have an internal conflict over this issue. Wait, whaaa?
So what you are basically saying it that it is unfair that unemployed people play video games that you like all day and beat you at them, meanwhile you own a home, a car, a big screen TV, etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc....I mean seriously, do you know how ridiculous you sound?
Is there any other weapons for Fighters than freaking Swords in this game?
My Dwarf is not happy...level 12 and only see Swords drops, Swords from vendors and Swords as rewards...
