I wish they would update the interior in the s, it looks so mediocre compared to cars costing half as much.
Well, you're not getting 315 miles after you rip off a "Ludicrous Mode" 2.5s 0-60 run. I think "normal mode" is more in line with the 5.0s range.Cool and all but still only for the well-off folks. I think the 90D sporty version with all the bells and whistles was still something like 90k, no? I think a lot more people would be satisfied with a Tesla that got 500 mile range, but only did a 0-60 in a "mediocre" 5.0s.
It's odd that they haven't offered a luxury interior option. I had an older Volvo S80 for awhile & the interior was amaaaaaaazing (even after 200k miles of use!). I've read repeatedly that Tesla is nothing near luxury & even saw people complaining about the new-design seat option.
i agree on the non-luxuriousness of the interior. other than the big screen in the middle, nothing on the inside of the car is all that nice. and big screens are cheap.

As big of a nerd as I am, I don't like the idea of having a giant touchscreen in the car. I vastly prefer physical buttons for stuff, ones that I can learn by feel (like a Tivo remote) so I don't have to look at the screen while I'm driving. The jumbotron in the Teslas is a very nerdy, techy feature that helps sell cars, but if I had my choice, I'd just go with a small 8" screen or something. I like my Jeep Renegade's dashboard quite a bit (aside from the cruddy Uconnect software) because you get nice big dials for the HVAC stuff, dedicated dials for volume, buttons for Radio, Digital Media, Phone, etc. & a well-thought-out suite of steering wheel controls.
those cupholders are unusable. your cargo shorts render all your opinions null.I like the interior of my Mercedes. All the surfaces are pleasing to touch with a nice use of metal, wood, leather and soft touch plastics. It is a quiet place to be and very comfortable.
oh i'd probably hate trying to live with the thing. but it is impressive, really the only impressive thing about the interior.

and the bare feet? barbaric.
Ugh I hate touchscreen climate controls - I wouldn't deal with that crap every day. I constantly fidget with my fan speeds and climate settings. And stereos are the worst. At my job I move cars in and out of the shop several times per day and it really pisses me off when I start someone's car and they have their favorite radio station cranking, then I can't find a knob to turn the thing down.
Okay that's not bad. Is it customizable, too?In my Model S, I have the left scroll wheel controlling the volume and the right controlling the temperature...

If only tesla would use this battery in the 3 instead of the x and s
And add $10k to the price? If only tesla would use this battery in the 3 instead of the x and s
