new 17" LCD for 279.99 no rebates!!

anyone know anything about this monitor? reviews? i duno the model number since it doesnt say on the ad....

but for 279.99...how bad can it be?

this monitor has a 3 year warranty and a 16 ms response time i believe. try to get in on the NEC deal, i think that is a better monitor because NEC has a great reputaiton with lcd monitors.

Panels that use HynDis LCDs used to be the most sought after for gamers for having less ghosting than displays that have lower published response times. Although that was over a year ago, this should be a great display esp at this price.

I noticed that most of those complaints were from models manfactured in 03. I know quite a few ATers and FWers who love theirs. I ordered one myself and it'll be here Friday, so i'll post my thoughts then.

I would have perfered DVI, but supposedly this works fine without it from what i've read in forums. You can't beat the price and since I hate messing with rebates this was a no brainer. Outpost said shipping was like $5, but it really ended up being closer to $10. Still a awesome deal consdering I didn't have to pay tax on it since there is no Fry's in Louisiana......

yes, this monitor has previously been purchased by a lot of people here at AT in various fry's deals, and most of the feedback has been good. the only knock is lack of dvi, but at that price, it's a steal in my opinion

People who say they can tell a difference are kidding themselves. And for those who "guessed" it correctly, that's not too big of an odd to overcome. 50/50 chance of getting it right.
