Sweet! I just got an AIUHB 0302 last night from Fry's. I'm gonna install it tonight and I was wondering how well it would OC. I was really just hoping for 166*13 (~2.16GHz) on my 8K3A+, so this will kickass if it does more.

I haven't searched this yet... anyone have any advice on how to properly unlock the multi on a TbredB for use in the Epox board? TIA.
edit: I'd be looking to get a higher multi, my RAM won't do much above 166 Is the 2100+ already unlocked above 13x?

Was it retail or oem? I haven't been to a Fry's before but I will be traveling through Houston and I am making a point to stop there and visit Fry's! Also, what codes are on your chip so i know what to look for?

Thanks!

If you are going to get the same chip, these are the markings you need to look for:

AXDA2100DUT3C AIUHB 0301 (or later). Getting a chip with those codes will guarantee you an AthlonXP Tbred "B" 2100+.

Great! Thanks. Getting my list together before I head out Saturday. Gonna be a bad day for the bank account! Anyone know the going price at Fry's for one of these and the Epox nf2?

my 2100+ is running at 2378 at 1.75v (~39 C full load). its a 0249 (green) chip. havent really had time to mess with it much. but im happy at those speeds, running prime95 now. i had a 0302 but that topped out at 2236 at 1.85v. i guess its all about luck.

Update: I finally installed mine tonight. Minutes after install I'm running at 2.167 (166*13) at stock voltage of 1.65 - Fast! Prime 95 stable well into the edit: 1200th test and still going.
Two odd things about the TbredB on the 8K3A+: it detected the stock voltage at 1.6... it's really 1.65 correct? and it does detect the temps high, under full load it's 56-57C and 48C at idle at 21C case temp. No real issue to me, I rarely keep a chip more than 6-7 months and, as long as its stable, I don't care about the temp.
Anyway, I'm pleased. I'm sure this chip has plenty of MHz more to go. Will keep it posted.

the default for the tbred b DUT3C is 1.6Volts... one of the letters in the code represents the default voltage i think it's the U = 1.6V

yup, the U signifies 1.6V
M signifies 1.75V-Palomino
L signifies 1.5V-T-Bred A
1.65V is the voltage for the Bartons, forgot the code already

Also got a 2100+ AXDA2100DUT3C AIUHB 0302 and Asus A7N8X Deluxe, but only get 2163 MHz (166.38x13) 1.7 VCore. I'm currently using PNY PC2700 256mB DDR (Samsung chips). Will switching to PC3200 DDR help get at least 2400 MHz?

200 x 12.5 with 1.85V - stable

Very nice cpu, my 2400xp Tbred wont do 2.4ghz or better stable without 1.95v or more.
Bit too much voltage for me.

So i settled for 11.5 x 200 = 2.3ghz at 1.85v
But at this voltage my cpu temps idle around 39c and under load are around 41c. (im on water)

Seems Ive got an "average" cpu, Ive seen most 2100-2400 tbred b's do 2.3ghz at a decent voltage.

You've definately got a good one at that voltage! :Q

My XP2100 is from Fry's too. $99 combo last week.

It's 0302 Tbred B stepping too.

Did a lot of testing on 8RDA+ motherboard.

Here are the results. My RAM is PC2100 from DELL, so I can not push FSB too high

Run stable at 13.5X166 = 2.25G with 1.75V(MBM shows 1.81V). Idel 35C, loaded 45C
Run stable at 13 X166 = 2.17G with 1.65V(MBM shows 1.7V). Idel 32C, Loaded 40C.

Well, While traveling to San Antonio I stopped in Houston and visited Fry's. Picked up one of the T-Bred B's AXDA2100DUT3C AIUHB 0302 and the Epox 8RDA+. Since I will be in San Antonio for a week, I will have to wait until I get home to play. Can't wait!
