I got it from ExcaliberPC today. I am so happy to get a great chip after being disappointed with my 2400+ AIUCB 0239. I ran my benchmarks at 2500MHz, 200 x 12.5 with 1.85V - stable. It stayed at 48C with my slk-800 and a tt smartfan2. I'm burning it in now at 200 x 12.

Nice work man. I am burning in my 2100+ AIUHB 0301 at 13 x 166MHz on my Epox 8K3A+ right now. I just got the chip today. I wish my board read temps. out correctly.

Yeah it does but there is a bug of some kind that causes the 8K3A+ to read the temp. incorrectly (on the high side usually by about 10C). I wonder how hot the chip really is. Right now MBM is displaying a CPU temp of 69C, it's probably way less as I'm using a Coolermaster HHC-001 in a very well ventilated Antec SX840 that is running at 32C.

I don't know if it is hardware or BIOS code ATM but I hope it's BIOS code that will be fixed soon. Epox hasn't released a BIOS update in a few months, hopefully we'll get one soon.

what sorts of tests are you running?

i'd run prime95 and memtest86

i can run my 2100+ @ 2500 but it fails prime pretty fast....

I am burning in at 2400MHz, 200 x 12. I'm running Prime95 right now. No errors for the first two hours. I will run it overnight.
I played UT2003 for an hour with no problems.
After the burn in I'll see what this chip can really do.

Damn good overclock, my 0302 did 2.3ghz for me last nite, hopefully I can get somewhere around there with my cheap Samsung PC2700! (using SLK800 + 40CFM Sunnon)

Prime95 ran for 14 hours with no errors at 2400MHz, with 1.825V (reads 1.85 in Asus Probe). After the 14 hours the chip was 46c. The TT SmartFanII was running at 3000rpm. I think after the AS3 sets up I will be able to back the fan off to 2200 - 2500 rpm, which is the sound level I like.
I bumped it back up to 2500MHz and it still benches really good there (15,647 3DMark2001, but won't Prime for long. So I'm sticking with 2400MHz for now. Running at 200 x 12 was my goal anyway, so I gotta say I'm very happy.
My next project is to get an SVC-68 and put it on my video card. That should be fun. The core doesn't overclock very far with the stock hsf (315MHz). I'm hoping for 325MHz. The memory goes to 742MHz without ramsinks so I think I'm all set there.

Looks sweet!

I'm looking at replacing my Palomino XP1700 (fsb OC to XP2K+ on a MSI KT266A) with one of these. Does anyone have a list of the better Overclocking weeks? The bad ones? I also read Fry's has them for under $60...any truth...If so I'd like to know what week to look for.

Also looking into NF2 MB's....any recommendations? I'd really like to keep my Alpha PAL8045 (lapped to 2000 grit mirror finish with an Enermax 80mm adjustable speed fan on top..run's now at 3050rpm) but so many MB's don't have the holes any longer...the Asus looks nice (but pricey!) but even with the holes it may not have room.

Thanks!!!

The weeks I've read the best results from are: 0248, 0250, 0302, 0303, 0304. I have read many poor results from the 0301, but also some great ones. It seems like any AIUHB can be good. There's a lot of luck involved in getting a great one.

I think the newer Expox 8RDA's have holes, as do the Abit NF7's. Check at AMDMB.com forums. The Abit NF7 rev. 1.2 looks really good to me.

Sweet! I just got an AIUHB 0302 last night from Fry's. I'm gonna install it tonight and I was wondering how well it would OC. I was really just hoping for 166*13 (~2.16GHz) on my 8K3A+, so this will kickass if it does more.

I haven't searched this yet... anyone have any advice on how to properly unlock the multi on a TbredB for use in the Epox board? TIA.
edit: I'd be looking to get a higher multi, my RAM won't do much above 166 Is the 2100+ already unlocked above 13x?

I just did EXACTLY this last night. I had to up my voltage to 1.675V to do it but it is running quite stably right now. Same chip. Same mobo. I can't answer your question though. I just ran it at 13 x 166MHz and will leave it like this until I get my nforce2 mobo.

And when you get your o/c set up correctly and running, please post up with your CPU temp at idle and under load (if possible).

Whoa! Those are some amazing o/cing results. For my birthday this weekend I'll be getting a 2100+ Tbred B along with a Epox 8RDA+. I dont know how far I can with a retail AMD hsf, I am going to need to order a SLK900 What kind of ram is everyone using? Assuming your at 200FSB?

I'm sticking with 166MHz FSB while using my 8K3A+ but I am using Kingston PC2700, 2 x 512MB sticks. It is running at the most aggressive timing settings my system has to offer and is completely stable (many 24 hour runs of Prime95 with no failures). When I get my NForce2 board I may try DDR400 but I am not confident that it'll happen. If it does, great. If it doesn't, then oh well, I'll just up the multiplier another notch or two.

Was it retail or oem? I haven't been to a Fry's before but I will be traveling through Houston and I am making a point to stop there and visit Fry's! Also, what codes are on your chip so i know what to look for?

Thanks!

If you are going to get the same chip, these are the markings you need to look for:

AXDA2100DUT3C AIUHB 0301 (or later). Getting a chip with those codes will guarantee you an AthlonXP Tbred "B" 2100+.
