I thought only the GTX was going to have audio with the hdmi? Even so why put it next to the power connectors?

There are 6 pin and 8 pin connectors....very wierd, all I know is this card sucks a lot of power, works like a room heater and it looks like we cannot use aftermarket coolers.

might be a two pin jumper port for tweaking over-voltage like the Galaxy 8800gt cards.

I see an SLi solution with 3-4 output connectors, but hasn't SLi been incompatible with multi-monitor support? I think this may have been brought up in an older 8800GX2 thread, but ... maybe nVidia has fixed this old limitation with SLi?

Very good news, if true.

Of course, it's still possible that the limitation might still exist for normal G9x SLi. nVidia could be using a custom connection on the 8800GX2 as a workaround to make the multi-monitor support work on a "card" that is based on SLi.

Has anyone heard something about this issue?

whoops. looks like it's the spdif-in port. the card does have audio out through the hdmi port, but still needs audio to come in from somewhere.

"According vr-zone.com works each of these GPU's with 600 MHz. Der Shader taktet mit 1500 MHz, während der Speicher mit 1000 MHz läuft. The shader taktet with 1500 MHz, while the memory runs at 1000 MHz"

Such conservative core and shader clocks compared to GT or GTS. Rumormill says it's underclocked to help control heat. It would be a shame if even with a fan boost the clocks can't be bumped a little.

Either the cores had to be throttled down to control heat and there's little overhead, or there is overhead and nV clocks the card conservatively because it beats 3870 X2 as such.

This is certainly a wait and see card..

that seems quite high for a part that is not that much faster than 3870x2...and still doesn't have quad sli capability, which 3870x2 WILL have by the time 9800gx2 is released...I think that rollo's estimate of $450 USD is more accurate.

You can't really just convert Euros to dollars and expect that to give you a very accurate price point.

At the prices they'll likely be offered at, and the possible heat problems they may produce, those things look like lemons to me. Looks like ATI may have gotten the jump on them with their 55nm process. I don't get it; with the preliminary numbers we're seeing, they're not much faster then what's available now. And those side-by-side DVI connectors? Weird. Guess we'll see.
