New A8N SLI DeLuxe Bios 1011 Final

Asus released the final 1011 bios for the A8N SLI DeLuxe board. Please post your comments here.

A8N-SLI Deluxe Bios version 1011
1.Support new CPUs. Please refer to our website at: http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/cpusupport.aspx
2.Fixed "ASUS Update" can't update BIOS when using Dual Core CPU.
3.Fixed NOS can't work after enabled NOS by AI-Booster.
4.Set CPU VID Item max value as 1.55V when using 1.40V/1.35V CPU.
5.Fixed it fails to boot when Enabled NOS function

NOOOO!! I just updated from 1011.001 to 1011 Final and BAM ...BSOD before windows even started booting. So I went to 1011.002 and same thing. I had to rollback to 1008 Final to get windows to boot. Anyone else have the same problem?

I updated to 1011 a couple of hours ago and it was very dissapointing. I was playing Hitman Contracts III, and it crashed after 10 minutes. This is the first time my system crashed after I got this machine. It had this record of not crashing till then. Too badddd.....I've dropped myself back to 1007 immediately. I've had enuff with these crappy BIOS'es. I won't update it again (hopefully) until the IT issue is fixed (though....I have a doubt whether it will ever be fixed...??).

Remember that it is always a good idea to clear the CMOS and redo your settings after updating to a new BIOS revision. This may very well explain the crashing.

I'm on 1010 Final and see no point in going any further until I get a dual core proc, or the 1T issue is fixed.

It won't let me update to it.

AsusUpdate informs me that it can't find an Asus Motherboard and then Errors out.

SAys something like "asusbios.dll" missing.

How can i fix this?

I have updated to 1011 final and no problem by the moment. I had one bsod with 1011-002 but 1011 final runs fine.
One thing I have noticed is that in bioses 1010 and previous when you select fast or faster in peg link mode my 6600gt was overclocked to 526 gpu/526 memory and from 1011-001 on it only oc's my 6600gt to 518gpu/525memory max.
This of course has and impact on graffic benches but it's not significant.

Use the ASUS BIOS UPDATE Utility v6.06.01

You see, that IS what I'm using, and thats what I'm getting the error with.

It won't even let me install a new version, becuase It doesn't find an asus bios.

Its quite aggrivating.

Those of you using ASUS A8N SLI Deluxe rev1.02 and Bios 1007 or newer: Check with CPU-Z (memory) your actual Trc (Bank cycle time) value, is it 22 clocks?

I had just checked with CPU-Z (ver. 1.29) prior to seeing your post. Trc on my system is 12. I just put my system together and it is running at "default" values in the BIOS.

Well, change your HTT value and your Ram ratio (I mean, overclock a lil) and check it out again...Guitardaddy has the same problem. It seems to be a Bug.

Ahh, I see your point. I have a stock setup and was reporting what I observed. This is a production machine (I'm a photographer) and I don't plan on overclocking it until I build a replacement in the future next year.

ok, no problem.
I see your Tras is set to 8 (2.5-3-3-8), that's not good, enter your Bios, go to Advanced menu, cpu configuration, Dram configuration: there, set the Tras to 7 = best performance on nForce4 boards (this is not overclocking so feel safe)
Tras = Cycle time in CPU-Z 1.29 so check it

Is this BIOS worth flashing to for people running 1008 or later? I mean, aside from supporting dual core procs, has ANYTHING been done to warrant upgrading to this BIOS version?

Me neither. I was just wondering how long it was going to take the insane people who still hold hope to ask.

Aside from that there ISN'T A 1T ISSUE AT ALL. The board works perfectly at stock, which is all ASUS claimed it would do. Saying it doesn't overclock well is an "issue" is like saying Honda Accords have a design flaw because they can't compete with Nascar vehicles.

I agree Insomniak, except that it is a pity that the A8N SLI Deluxe is the only board with this problem when it comes to overclocking. Regardless, I'm still pretty happy with mine overall.
