Good to see American troops patting themselves on the back for not murdering innocent people, as though it's some kind of achievement. Of course I throw a little party every night before bed to celebrate another day without murdering someone.

They're not patting themselves on the back. The media is.

OK fair enough.

Still, it's kind of silly that the news is practically worshiping these people for not killing civilians.

Are you argumentative in every thread?

What the hell kind of rounds is that thing firing?

apparently some bad-ass deadly ones.

They have to be some kind of exploding round. All you hear is a little rattatatat and some explosions. Looks to be VERY effective.

most def exploding. I want to know distance though. As there seems to be quite a lag between the sound and the hits.

This is just sad.

Straw man argument. This is almost a textbook example.

That was pretty funny. The guy that fought back only to get grenaded also met an unfortunate end

Every single post he makes is like this. Hating on US soldiers for being so careful is cool apparently.

Collateral damage is a part of war that we don't like, but it is part of war. It is not murder. If you want to make a political point, stick to the Iraq war.

That is the part I don't get.
Knowingly killing civilians to kill your prime target....
You are still murdering them.
Collateral damage is to coin a phrase so some can sleep at night.
Others accept what they really did and go on with life.

Sounds like you are confused about collateral damage. I doubt soldiers are ordered to target civilians so they can kill the tally-ban.

I don't mean the video, they are clear targets.

Air strike scenario is more when CD term is most often used:

You have a combatant target that is in a house with other non-combatants and your order and air strike to take out the target.

umm you know the Army flies the helicopters, right?

Specifically Apache helicopters... plus the Army soldiers on the ground played clean up and killed at least one as well.

I'm not knocking the Air Force btw.
