New apartment, how's this room setup?

So I'm moving to a new apartment soon and have been given control over living room placement. What do you guys think would be the best placement for the TV and speakers to optimize viewing and acoustics based on the given room shape and size? Here's a rough sketch of the floor plan I drew: (it's definitely not drawn to scale, the upper part is especially off)

TV: LG 50PK550
Speakers are 5.1 consisting of:
Jamo C407 fronts
Jamo C400CEN center
undecided on surrounds, either the matching bookshelves or dipoles depending on if dipoles will feasibly work in the room
Energy ESW-8 sub which probably won't get upgraded for as long as I live in apartments

I'm really not a fan of the fireplace and how it eats into the room space and creates those weird alcoves, but that's what we have to work with. The sliding balcony doors are double-paned glass and covered by vertical blinds of the vinyl type. The sliding doors are the only source of natural light for this room.

So far I was thinking of placing the TV/speakers in front of the sliding balcony door facing south (let's say north is up for simplification). They would be horizontally centered for the 122" part of the room because I'd probably have the front edge of the front speakers parallel to or just south of where the fireplace juts into the room (basically where I drew the 122" line), with the fronts about 7' apart. Sub either in the upper right alcove or right next to one of the fronts, depending on if corner placement makes it too boomy.

Seating would be 7-8' away so roughly horizontal to where the east bedroom door is. Surrounds would be just south of the east door and the same spot on the west wall, either wall mounted in the case of dipoles or on some sort of bookcase/shelf/stands for bookshelves.

The other alternative would be seating along the west wall facing east and TV completely blocking the fireplace which would look kind of weird, render the fireplace useless (not that we'd use it in LA) and I think there'd be more glare during daytime TV usage from the way light would come in. Thoughts?

tl;dr - look at pic, where would you put stuff?

Generally, for acoustical balance, you need:

1. Symmetry to the left and right of the listening position.
2. Speakers aimed down the longest dimension of the room (length)
3. Main listening position 0.38 of the length of the room (or roughly between 0.32-0.44) either from the front wall or the rear wall.

4. Subwoofer: place the subwoofer at the main listening position as close as possible to ear height. Play bass tones are bassy music and crawl around the room. Find the area on the floor of the room where the bass sounds the most balanced. Place subwoofer there.

5. Speakers should make an equilateral triangle with your main listening position or slightly narrower than an equilateral triangle is fine.

Those are some setup basics.
