i think they're awesome...

the only thing they need to address, however, is the gaming aspect....

they conceded that microsoft office is better on pc, which was cool because it's true.

either way, macs rule.

I agree. Now that Macs can run Windows, I don't foresee any huge developments in Mac gaming, but who knows. The least Apple could do is introduce a low-priced desktop that we could stick nice video cards into. My brother's MacBook Pro actually plays Half-Life 2 smoothly at the native resolution of 1440x900, but then again, it's an $1800 machine...you could build a pretty sick gaming PC for that kind of money. We know that Apple will eventually make an Intel desktop, but judging by the current price of their G5 desktop machines, they won't be cheap...

macs last forever, though. they retain their value WAAAAY better than pcs do. i got my powerbook 3 years ago and it's still trucking along great. it'll have the occasional microsoft app hiccup, but hopefully, now that i'm using tiger, it won't anymore.

seems this apple cult is really weakening with their use of really weak ads like this, their switch to intel processors and now them basically copyign the PC in every aspect.

macs are solid machines, don't get me wrong. but not a serious machine. maybe ok as some fun play thing thats fancy. if you want a computer in business, in education, for a web server etc, stick to pc

Sounds like a typical Mac user. Not buying it for what it's useful for, but for looks and resale value.

I kinda like Apple products, but after watching those cocky commercials I'm practically rooting for someone to write a really nasty virus for OS X that wipes out their hard drives on a few thousand computers. That oughta wipe that smirk off the Apple zealots faces for awhile.

i hate apple's commercials, mostly because they're BS, but also because it carries the "we're apple, so we're elite and exclusive and better than you." i guess they can only be so much better if they're 5% of the entire PC market.
