New Asus A7V Bios

I don't have any stable problems with the beta bios. I just can't get the multiplyer adjustments in the bios to change the cpu multiplyers.

DuronBoy the 1003 bios shows a lower temp because the temp. reading is not accurate. Thats why the 1004 shows it 10c more. Asus made the actual readings more accurate with the 1004.

formulav8, does the 1004 bios read the temp more accurately or does it add to the actual temp assuming you have the temp probe not touching the core? I thought they made the switch since after the initial A7V release they made the temp probe sit undeneath the processor where it obviously couldn't measure the true temp of the chip.

That is incorrect. It has been tested with a actual tempurature probe and has been found that it DOES effect the tempurature. Basically it seems the CPU is not using HLT commands like it would with 1003.

Hey. To contradict what the earlier emailer said...this new Asus BIOS for the A7V has been absolutely flawless for me. One thing that people need to remember when they flash a BIOS is to immediately restart and reset the factory defaults in the BIOS. Then restart again, and set your own settings in the BIOS. This prevents crazy problems from happening.

i run 1004c and i have a compunurse thermal probe on my durons core, the bios reads out at exactly 4c over the temp that is displayed via the compunurse thermal probe. Im gonna hazzard that to compensate for the distance asus has added 4 c to the onboard readout.
