"Jack's Marketplace" is the seller and it is also a "First from Asia".

I guess if someone wants it...it's worth a shot, from the company's point of view.

Lol, 8MB.
Anyone want to bet these were stored in some warehouse for 15+ years?

I was trying to, but can't even guess about just how old this is.

I remember drooling over the idea of a video card with 8mb of ram in some random computer shopper back in high school around 1995 or so. This was back when ram was costing around 60-80 dollars a mb. The idea of having that much ram just dedicated to video seemed crazy to me.

8mb?! This is madness! 640K is the most memory that anyone will ever need.

Don't they STILL use this chipset for servers, like the VGA out or IPMI or something? At least, they used to, back in the day of W2K Server.

Well, if you have one of those 1990s packard bell machines with no AGP slot, this might be a nice upgrade over the integrated S3 or whatever crap ...

So it seems there is a mismatch between the image and the description. Can you technically buy this thing, based on the description saying it's PCI (bus), then reject it if it looks like the picture and has an ISA bus interface instead (i.e., the description is wrong and the image is correct)? Or, purchase based on the picture showing ISA interface, and reject it when it arrives with a PCI interface (assuming the description is correct and the image is wrong)?

I'm just wondering how Newegg resolves these issues. If it were ebay, you could buy it and then get a full refund because the item was improperly described or misrepresented by the seller.

I hope it's worth it for Newegg (the complaints they receive for listings like this). Of course, if someone was buying something like this, they would probably know enough to see this listing is ridiculous.
Newegg's rating for them (Jack's Marketplace) also seems off. The sellers profile page says 208 reviews, but I only count 18. And many (most?) of them aren't happy.

The "marketplace" has junked up the site substantially, and is part of the reason i switched to amazon for all my orders.

I think you can search by Newegg only or some such, but yeah, it's frustrating to find a good deal on a part and then discover you're not buying from Newegg.

Ah, the days when drivers could fit on a floppy disk. I recall how much crap Creative Labs took for bloated drivers but AMD and NVIDIA are on a frickin' roll.

Sorry, check your facts. The photo is a PCI card. ISA (16 bit anyway) would have one notch and have much larger contacts

Just look for the Sold by: click on Newegg. It's at the top next to Sort by: once your into a category.

For clarification I'll use an example. In this one you won't get the option until your into Processors-Desktop.

Components>CPUs/Processors>Processors-Desktop

Only way I'll shop Newegg. Pretty much do the same on Amazon but will buy fulfilled/shipped by Amazon items from 3rd parties.
