Wow that was weak and I'm an a7x fan. This isn't a good sign for the album but you never know with the first couple of singles. I didn't like Coheed's 2nd single HWAJ but the album turned out to be decent.
on that note - they make the album sound so much better live. Just saw them Saturday night. Second time seeing Chris Pennie in action, 1st time seeing him with material for which he was 100% responsible.
I still stand by the majority of the album is meh, but some of the songs sound great live.
Also, Guns of Summer live.... omg.
They opened with The Broken, then Juggernaut (of which both sound great live)... and I was like... well damn they skipped over Track 3! But I knew GoS would be later in the set, it had to be. It was, and I think I came.
Ended the show with a 3 track "encore". One of the weakest new album songs (can't recall the name, one I don't ever listen to on YotBR), then Welcome Home, and ended the night with 2113. Everything Evil, Time Consumer, and In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth were also played, masterfully I might add.

edit:
3rd time seeing Pennie in action live. 1st time was when was with Dillinger Escape Plan and they were one of the opening acts for Coheed and Cambria when Good Apollo vol1 was relatively new.
DEP, the frontman specifically, was insanely hardcore. Also saw a guy get knocked out by a flying bottle that ended up in the pit.
