DKR is supposedly set in the US. I assume it was filmed in the US. It's based on properties that are owned by US companies, and produced / distributed by Warner Bros. How is DKR an "English film?"I think we should get the english films first. E.g. Prometheus, Dark Knight Rises and Skyfall.
You know, it's directed by an Englishman, starring an Englishman, written by an Englishman, co-starring an Englishman, the villain is played by an Englishman a hell of a lot of it is shot in the UK...
The money might be American but the talent is English.
Edit: and two thirds of the producers are English.
I take issue with that author credit. I'm particularly pleased to hear that David S. Goyer co-developed the story. I always felt that BB was much better than TDK (contradicting general opinion)...and TDK would have been much better if Goyer worked on the story as he did in BB. Goyer was raised in Michigan.
With Nolan as the only story writer for TDK, the story was a jumbled mess and the movie went on way too long.
Anyway, you could pick a bunch of high-level Englishmen on most Hollywood movies.
