There's a
thread at pcper discussing the Ballstix sticks. Not much on the
xtremesystems thread yet, but hopefully that will change.
So far, news appears to be (from pcper thread):
[*]They will be available in DDR PC3200, DDR2 PC4000 and PC5200.
[*]3200 (DDR-400), CL2-2-2-6
[*]4000 (DDR-500), CL2.5-4-4-8
Some OC results (culled from the pcper thread):
[*]Have run them up to 217 FSB 2-2-2-11 but they needed 2.9 v for 100% stability.
[*]Have memtested also at 225 FSB but failed memtest #5 unless I lowered the timings to 2.5-3-3-11.
[*]So far 2-2-2-11 210x12 mult is rock solid with a mobile athlon at 2520 Mhz.
[*]11 x 210 FSB / 2.9 Vmem / 11-2-2-2 / PiFast Time = 60.63
[*]So far I can't get these modules (2x512 PC3200) to run higher than 2-2-2-11 stable than 217 FSB.
[*]Reached 230 FSB stable in benches but by this time I had needed to drop to about 2.5-4-4-8. Not great.
OC result from the XS thread:
[*]I have 2x512mb of the pc4000 ballistix and i was doing 230 at 2.3.3.6 timings [...] i did check in cpu-z and it said they were micron memory
