Anyone BofA customers notice these new fancy ATM's they have installed? The extra big touch screen with the nice resolution is great, taking out money has never been easier, but have any of you tried to make a DEPOSIT using this new method?
Old way was to get all of your checks, write out a deposit slip with a total, stick it in an envelope and insert the envelope into the machine. Done.
NOW, they have this new 'paperless' way of doing it where you have to insert one check at a time, and the machine scans each check and asks you to verify the amount it scanned, and then confirm and asks if you want to scan another. THIS TAKES FOREVER. Same thing for depositing cash, although I dont know if its bill by bill.
I was kind of annoyed when I deposited 3 checks the other day for the first time using this system, but nothing too crazy.
THEN today I got in the drive up ATM line to make a quick withdrawal before I got to work, one car in front of me already at the ATM and one car immediately pulls in behind me.
This lady in front must have deposited 25 freaking checks!!! I couldnt get out of the lane either because there were cars behind (some honking, some leaving). I waited close to 15 minutes waiting for her to finish her transaction.
Drive up ATM is supposed to be for quick withdrawals and deposits, BOFA have now eliminated the "quick" part.

Cliffs:
New BOFA ATM scans deposit checks one at a time
Waited behind some B*TCH depositing 20+ checks today
Annoyed
