I flashed up to this release of the BIOS and have had no problems whatsoever. Things do seem a little bit quicker. I set the DRAM to auto-detect the SPD from the SDRAM.

To download, you have to select the BIOS for the K7T Pro2a. Apparently the BIOS will detect which board you have and add/subtract appropriate options from the BIOS (depending on hardware that is actually on the board).

Here is a link to the page for download. Select the .exe file and you're good to go.

I read the "text" file from the download and all it says it K7T Pro, no "2" mentioned. Now it's time to try it!

I also flashed my K7T Pro with that bios and everything works fine. Supposedly if you let it determine your memory timings by spd it also enables bank interleave by default.

I've found one problem though. It won't let you set the fsb higher than 110mhz. With the 1.7 bios it won't let me either. If I revert back to the 1.6 then all is fine. Most people will say "you won't go higher than 110" but that's not true. I have been running my machine at 115mhz fsb for the last two months.
