I have the LG WH16NS40 with firmware 1.02 (
UHD friendly) which can read 4K/UHD blu-rays and playback encrypted physical disk on a PC with the correct software without the need of decrypting (copyright protection).
So far it works great for my usage, but I haven't burned any CDs, DVD, or 1080p/4K blu-rays (25GB/50GB) for quite a while.
