1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.
This is my work PC. I have Outlook, IE, Firefox (20+ tabs), Excel, and Word running at all times. That is pretty much all it is used for. No gaming but I still want the option if I choose to.
2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread
$1000 price limit give or take $50.
3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.
US - Newegg.
4. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc.
Prefer Intel but will consider AMD if it's worth it.
5. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.
Already have a monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, OS and DVDRW.
6. IF YOU have searched and/or read similar threads.
I have searched other threads and am looking for specific info on my build.
7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.
Default speeds.
8. What resolution YOU plan on gaming with.
Max resolution for my monitor 1680x1050.
9. WHEN do you plan to build it?
Now.
Here's what I've come up with:
