1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.

Gaming, Movies, Office Work, Graphic Design

2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread

1300-1500

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.

US. Newegg preferably.

4. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc, etc, etc, you get the picture.

None

5. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.

MX518 Mouse

6. IF YOU have searched and/or read similar threads.

Been reading for months

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.

Most definitely some medium-aggressive overclocks.

8. WHEN do you plan to build it?

Plan to order within a week or so

I purchased a OCZ 700w Power Supply, and I have a mouse already. Open to suggestions on everything else.

Thank you!!!!!!!! My girlfriend and I appreciate any advice!

That's how it looks for now. I know I need a cable for the DVD so what would you recommend?
Also, is there any way to guarantee an E0 stepping if I was to step down to the E8400, because it has a good combo deal at Newegg?
If not, I'll pay the extra bit for the E8500 to guarantee I get an E0 stepping for a better overclock. Does that sound about right?

Thanx again!!!!

The E8400 is fairly easy to overclock either way. Dropping down saves more cash than the small performance drop is worth, especially when you'll be overclocking anyway.

Other than that, looks pretty good!

Ok. Thx Rogue. I'm going to go with the E8400, and save $50 on the combo.
I'm going to purchase 2 SATA cables as I'm told I'll need at least one for the DVD drive.
Are there any other little things or accessories I'm forgetting?
We're adding a card reader to the list, and a keyboard.
Thx again!

You can check the package contents at Newegg, but your motherboard should come with two SATA cables already.

Buy a 24-pin ATX power supply extender (they're like $3) so you can be sure that your PSU motherboard power cable will be able to reach all the way up the back of your case and out the holes at the top. Not having a long enough cable would mean you'd have to run it up across the other cables and that'd ruin your cable tidying and reduce airflow (and it'd not look as nice). I bought one with my P182 and it came in pretty handy.

Good advice, routing the power cable behind the motherboard tray in the P182 can be a little bit of a stretch. My HX520 reached, but juuuuuussssst barely.

I personally like your build - it's very similar to mine! Roguestar and I are both unabashed fans of the P182

Can someone link me to a cable extender?
I've been looking on Newegg, and I'm not sure which one to get.
I don't see any 24 pin extenders for less than $16.
So with all that hardware, the only accessory I would need to build the computer would be an extender?
I just want to make sure I have everything, so I can build this all in one day, and not have to wait a couple days for a silly cable in the mail.
Thanks again!

You might want to make sure the P182 comes with all the fans you want in your case?
