New Build, Can't reset BIOS

I just finished my first build. I was able to get into BIOS and set it up to boot from the optical drive so I could install Windows as all the sites suggested I do. I inserted the Windows disc and restarted the PC and now it is not registering any keyboard in the PS/2 socket or a USB port even though Legacy settings are enabled and it is not reading from the drive. I cannot pull up BIOS and although I have tried everything I can to reset CMOS and BIOS, nothing seems to be working. I could use some feedback and helpful suggestions. My motherboard is an AsRock Z77 Extreme 3.

you tried using the jumper pin to reset, pulling battery, etc.?

if so, and nothing happened.. there is a possibility of a short between the board and the case.. try pulling the board from the case, and then resetting using the jumper pin, etc...

Tried all of that. Assembled out of case also just in case there was a short happening when assembled in the case All with the same results. Cannot seem to get BIOS/CMOS to reset.

Give all system spec.something is wrong.or the motherboard is defect.

did you disconnect ac cord prior to trying reset ? if not, that could damage components...

try pulling battery, and posting without the battery in it..

also pull batter and ac cord and use jumper.. and leave like that for an hours or so.. then retry
