Just put this computer together using the following parts:

E5200
Gigabyte P45 UD3R
4 GB G.Skill DDR2 800
WD 640 Black
AC Freezer 7 Pro

Powered it up and it just beeps at me, very rapidly, then reboots itself and does the same thing. The motherboard manual says it's a power issue, but I've double checked all the plugs and everything seems in its place, and the power supply I'm using was just successfully powering the rig in my signature, so I don't feel like that's the issue. Anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like memory (or memory setting) problem. Best thing to do is strip your system down to: CPU, GPU, DVD, and one stick at a time of RAM in slot 1; download .iso of MemTest86+ http://www.memtest.org/ , burn a bootable cd, and boot and run it at least overnight, on each stick of RAM.

Tried my old sticks of RAM and it does the exact same thing. If either new or old RAM is populating slots 2 and 4, it beeps endlessly and reboots. If either old or new RAM is populating slots 1 and 3, it doesn't beep, but still reboots.

Edit: The computer never posts. and my monitor never leaves standby status either, if that is any helpful information.

Sticking 1 DIMM in slot 1 allows the board to post and make it into Windows just fine. Any other combination bricks it. Purchased some Corsair from Fry's to try out and it does all the same things. This board toast, or am I having some type of compatibility issue? Some reviews on Newegg say this board is finicky but I can't believe Corsair won't even work in it.

The only similar problem that i have had is placing the stick's side by side, meaning that i put it in A1 and A2 instead of A1 B1 which worked fine after i put it in A1 B1.
