Notice the purchased parts, I already bought them / got them from previous setup.

Yes, I do know 850w is overkill for one GPU, but would it handle second GTX770 later on?

Still not sure about the mobo if its not overpriced and if i should get cheaper msi g45 or something from asus such as z87-a or gigabyte / asrock ones. So many of them and I'm clueless and lost. Would love if any of you could give your suggestion on choosing the correct motherboard.

Welcome to the forums, kovval!

Given that your only major purchases here would be a CPU, motherboard, and video card, it really would help to know if you have a budget in mind. You can get a $100 motherboard or a $300 motherboard, and they would both have the same basic features, so which one you get is entirely based on your budget and any other specific needs you have, which you haven't said anything about yet.

The 850W power supply is extreme overkill for not just one, but two GTX770s, but if you already have it, that's fine. I hope you got a good price on it!

You can probably shave some off the motherboard and GPU. I'd take a look at the ASRock Z87 Pro4 motherboard (combo with CPU @ MC).

As for the GPU, you can generally get the same performance for less with a 7970. They're close enough that performance in any particular game is determined by the general AMD/NVIDIA split more than 7970 vs. GTX 770. Plus the free games are nice if you don't already have them.

I don't want to spend more than 200$ on motherboard, I still think the motherboard I chose for 160$ is overkill, if I can get cheaper mobo for relatively same perfomance I'd like to get it. I don't have any specific need, manufacturer or anything, as long as it will be OC friendly so I can do it later on.

As for 7970... I'm nvidia fanboy, so... yeah

Warning: Fanboyism is hazardous to your wallet!

The ASRock mobo I recommended will do a reasonable overclock no problem.

As Termie already mentioned the AX850 is enough not just for one, but for two GTX 770s.

Hey when you build this, can you tell me your impressions of the Hyper 212 Evo on the 4670K? Since you are looking for an OC friendly motherboard, I suppose you'll try overclocking the 4670K a bit, so I wanna know if you'll be happy with the 212
