New build for my wife

My wife has put up with junk forever - I decided that Black Friday was the time to do something about it.

I have a new Cooler Master HAF 912 case, a 700 W Thermaltake Tough Power PS, and a decent DVD Burner.

I picked up an Asus P8B75 - V LGA 1155 B7 Board
Intel i3-3220
16gb of Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR3 1600 RAM
and a VelociRaptor WD5000 HHTZ 500 GB HD

What do you all think? I'd appreciate any comments you care to make.

It's Ivy Bridge(which is nice), the mobo is nice.
The PSU is overkill.
Not good for anything demanding as far as video goes(will play 1080p, but forget about games).
A small SSD would still constitute a "quantum leap" in performance. Doubt it critical though.

A short answer to question 1 - email and Farmville

I already owned the case, power supply and dvd burner.

About 275 for the board, cpu, ram and HD.

I'd return the Velociraptor and get an SSD. Sure a Raptor is faster than a normal 7200 RPM drive, but an SSD blows them both away by an order of magnitude. If a 7200 RPM drive is a Civic and the Velociraptor is a Ferrari, then the SSD is a Saturn V rocket.

Pick this Samsung 830 128GB up while you can. It should come out to be the same or slightly cheaper than the Velociraptor if my calculations are correct.
