Building a new rig. First one in like 4 years.
Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor, YES, I want to overclock.

Anyways. Currently I have already purchased the EVGA GTX 1080 SC, so will definately be using that.

My quandry is now "PCI-E lanes" are a concern. SATA ports turning off. SATA vs SATA Express. It makes my head hurt.

I was hoping someone could read my hard drive requirements and help recommend a mobo that can run everything at full speed / bandwidth and overclock with.

Soooo...

EVGA GTX 1080 SC
SAMSUNG 950 PRO M.2 512GB PCI-Express 3.0 x4 Internal (SSD) MZ-V5P512BW

2 regular SSDs left over from old build.

4 new 2 TB HDs for a new raid for media storage.

Can anyone recommend me a mobo that can run all of this at full speed ?

Pretty much any z170 (overclocking chipset) board will be able to work for you.

You aren't using the M.2 slots, so none of your SATA connectors will be disabled. Plus, you are only running one video card, so you really don't have to worry about using all the lanes. Each board is slightly different, but if you look at these two boards for example:

https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/Z170-A/specifications/

It has 6 SATA connections for your ssd and hard drives.

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5480#sp

This one has 6 Intel SATA connections, plus two more Asmedia connections.

Edit:

I am blind, as I missed the M.2 drive you listed. I will have to take a closer look and see what SATA connections get disabled on the two boards I linked to.

Edit 2:

The Gigabyte board won't work. The Asus board I'm not sure.

Consider 2 fewer but bigger HDDs to save 2 SATA ports. OR, consider a NAS or other storage solution. It's sometimes best not to have one PC do it all.

Ok, now that I was able to use my desktop and read a little further, the Gigabyte Ga-z170-UD5 should work for you.

If you look at the user manual on their website, on page 30 it has several charts. Using a PCIe M.2 drive on the M2H_32G M.2 connection, it operates at PCIe x4, and then it supports 6 x SATA drives, or 3 x RAID. So that should give you full-speed on the NVMe drive, 2 x RAID, and your two single SSDs should all work according to their chart.

You do not list a drive with a sata express connection so even if the M2 uses the sata express port , you won't.

What about this one?
http://pcpartpicker.com/product/k4dFf7/asus-motherboard-z170e

pcpartpicker says The motherboard M.2 slot #0 shares bandwidth with a SATA Express port. When the M.2 slot is populated, one SATA Express port is disabled.

Does this mean the SATA ports used by the SATA Express are also disabled or just the ability to use SATA Express ?

Not sure. The Asus manuals don't break it down like the Gigabyte manuals. That's why I was unsure of the Asus z170-a. Maybe on the Asus you can use any combination of individual drives / RAID without dropping down the M.2 slot to 2x speed, and that's why they don't list it. To be sure, you might want to send an email to their tech support.

I had problems connecting regular Sata drives when using an m.2 drive.

I have s gigabyte h170 gaming three.

I had to turn off ufei and operate in legacy only mode with cms turned on. The 950pro is recognized in legacy mode and appears to operate at full bandwidth as do my hdds using Sata ports that are part of the Sata express ports on the board....
