Right now my plans for part choice arent a for sure thing. See i have a connection with someone who works for a company that can get pretty much any computer component whole sale, with an additional discount off the whole sale price. Until i get more info, heres the run down of what the parts are:

case:
http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...uct s_id=4410
memory:
http://www.tankguys.biz/product_info...8c8ee45b2bf938
optical drive:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827152079
hard drives
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822148142
motherboard:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813188013
psu: With this much power in the system i don't really know what type of psu i should get. Please feel free to give me some recommendations.
cpu:
This should do for crysis http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115011
soundcard:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16829102005
gpu:
doesnt really matter what brand, as long as its sli 8800gtx
monitor:
Either the dell 3007, or the new 30" hp. Don't quote me on this, but i believe i heard the hp has better color accuracy.

And yes i do tend overclock. Retail this entire setup would be north of $5000, but i did the calculation for what my discount would be, and it came out to around $2200 and that includes the monitor in that total.

As you see i'm taking advantage of the situation. Some of the parts may change though. An example would be the ram, i have no expertise on team xtreem, but hear they offer great performance. As long as the ram overclocks great i'll be happy. The hardest thing though is finding a case that can disapate all that heat.

I'm pretty sure thats air cooled ram...just that the ram has a heatsink larger than what most people used in the days of Pentium 3s...

I personally don't think you need to spend that much on ram considering you'll never get the processor up to 600 fsb using a 10x muliplier and I don't think there exists any motherboard capable of doing 600fsb under "normal" cooling...

Quad cores are also pretty bad overclockeres and I doubt you'll see anything past 3.4Ghz. So just get some quality DDR2667 ram and overclock it to 10x333=3330Ghz and thats probably what the chip'll be capable of.
