New build reassurance

I am rebuilding neighbor's computer. They have fallen on hard times with the economy. Their next salvation is tax season. They need a stable system to be able to do accounting work. It is not something that requires major processing power. Much of the build is coming from my parts and a few purchases. I am trying to minimize my output, but do not want them to suffer loss of potential clients due to system issues.

I am not too familiar with the AMD processors, especially some that are a little older. Will this build be enough horsepower for basic usage (nothing more intensive than MS Office and Norton Antivirus)?

2. 2x1GB Muckin DDR2 High Performance memory
3. Windows XP 32-bit
4. CD/DVD-RW drive
5. 1x 80GB Pata drive (They will have access to my home server to backup data. I may just give them my 320GB sata drive instead)

Primary uses:
1. Accounting, but nothing majorly intensive for processing or memory
2. Internet
3. Email
4. Some minor pre-K kids games/educational programs

Thanks for looking at this. Any comments are appreciated. I need to get the guts ordered and in so I can get them up to speed before Thanksgiving. They have a meeting with a firm to pick up some of their overload work for the tax season.

Yea, that's more than enough.

Edit:
I don't know if you have old parts laying around, but anything P4 2.4ghz class or higher would meet your needs.

If you really want to save money I'm sure you could find a used MB/CPU combo that will work for much less.

Yup, more than enough.

If you live near a Fry's, you can typically get an $80 CPU/Mobo combo during their weekly sales.

I'd suggest avoiding Norton AV and just get them MS Security Essentials (free) instead -- less resource intensive and actually quite good.
