Here is my new build:

* Cooler Master Elite 330
* Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H 780G motherboard
* AMD Phenom II Quad 940 Black Editon - Stock cooling
* 8GB G-Skill PC2-6400
* XFX Radeon 4870 1GB
* Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB SATA II
* Onboard LAN/HD Audio
* Antec Earthwatts 650wt psu
* Logitech DiNovo Keyboard
* Logitech MX Revolution Mouse
* 2 X Yate Loon 120mm silent case fans
* 2 X Dell 23" S2309 W @ 1900 x 1080
* Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit and all updates
* DirectX 10 installed

Now, I have Windows 7 64bit RC1. Randomly I will have restarts and/or BSOD's. Is RC1 still buggy?

Event viewer shows the following at the precise time it went down:

The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

RC1 had quite a few bugs still in it. If you want to look on a torrent site and grab 7260 I think you will be much happier. It last till March, 2010 before it expires and you can still use your beta keys to activate. Been using it for a while now and no problems.

RC1 has been very solid for me. Have you checked all your memory via memtest? Almost all problems I've had in the past with random reboots/freezes are from bad memory. In fact just recently one stick of that POS Patriot 1.7v ddr3 went bad on me so I bought some trusty old Crucial 1.5v quality ddr3 ram.

Should I go 64bit still or go back down to 32bit?

Also, can you please point me to a reliable (and virus free) torrent link for the 7260 build? (preferably 64bit)

Alright....I take it back....we are still having an issue.

I downloaded and ran Furmark 1.7.0. On 1900x1080 running defaut stability test, it ran decently, the temp reached 75c and then CRASH within 30 seconds.....screens went blank but no BSOD.

Ran again at 1280 x 1024, it lasted 116 seconds and same thing happened.

Can we now say "hardware issue" or is it still the lack of good drivers for Win7 64bit?
