I know the memory support pages for many motherboards I have bought over the years never show the memory that I end up buying and I have never had a problem before. Can't believe that this board would be that picky.

At least 3 other people, could not get their ram to work on that motherboard, according to the reviews.

I cleaned them up yes. I was wondering as well since the heatsink has nobs that turn to "lock" them in place once pressing in, maybe the pins are a little loose. But when they are pressed in the heatsink is tight to the chip.

I wish I had a visual on this. You are talking about the CPU's teeth, when you say "pins" yes? Securing the chip in the socket does not depend on securing the heatsink. At least I have never seen or heart of any such thing.

Did you tell us about the cooler?

I think, now nothing....cause I now think incompatible ram as per above or below may well be yr problem as posted by one of our fellow members....and he followed up!

Again, to me, it immediately felt like a RAM issue.

The the cooler, I wanted to get a visual, esp the knobs.

I think we are talking about different things, the cpu is in the socket, triangle matched and latched down.

the pins I was referring too are the heatsink, pins that push through the board and snap into place. They snap into place fine, but wrenching on things make a couple pop out that I had to push back in.

Thanks for clarifying. Important data. You said pins, I immediately went to CPU pins/teeth....not heatsink.

and, I get you R frustrated & in a hurry, and upset if yr ram in inconpatible given that would require more capital outlay....but pls remember none of it is OUR BADD: WE are all trying to troubleshoot AND HELP.

I see many people on the amazon page stating they have 8 gig of 1600 ram downgradded to 1333.

That you tube video is exactly what I have going on with the beeps. so it is the RAM.

Any thoughts on different combos taht I can get 8 gigs in the system. Or is it taking a roll of the dice any way I go??

Even if you are running 64 bit OS, why do you need 8 GBs? I mean, that is not the fastest chip on the planet, yes?

I will run a 64 bit OS, and my wife does photo and maxes out the 8 gig of RAM on our other computer quite often.

I am reading that corsair ram seems to work on the board from the comments and questions on the amazon page. I may try to RMA these stick back the egg.

I have to believe that I can find some modern affordable 4 gig sticks that will work in this machine.

While I was searching for information on your issues, I think I also noticed crucial saying it would work. (i.e. 8Gb! with Crucial)

Best to double check, on the crucial website (Crucial compatibility website), if it says it WILL work, then I would believe them.

What CPU in this "other" computer? Chip capacities do limit, U know. Not good to try to get blood out of a stone....metaphorically, I mean.

I have some 1600 speed ram in the other computer I might pop out one to see if it makes a difference.

Something like this??

I am cruising crucial site and am not finding how to check on compatibility.

Check that I think I have found it and they say this 8 gig kit will work...
