Anyone have any suggestions on a product that will clean the black bumper stripes on the doors? My car has those door guard things, and are supposed to be black, but over the years they have turned gray, and it looks ugly. I tried using Armor All on it, it looked great for a few days, then it washed off in a rainstorm and it's back to that faded grey look.
I've had pretty good luck with Mother's Back to Black
I don't know if it will work on something that has really oxidixed but it did a good job on my trim and door handles on my Jeep. It doesn't cost that much and you can probably find it at Wal-Mart or an AutoZone near you.
You might also try searching on the autopia forums I listed earlier. Lots of helpful people there.
Newspapers on glass really does work though I am wondering for how much longer. I heard that it was the acid in the ink that cleaned the glass so well. I've also heard that many newspapers are changing their ink formulation to get away from the acid content. Just some things I have heard and I can't really verify either one. Try it on your windows and see how it works for you.
