I read the pdf. and no fix for 120Hz LCD & ATI/AMD card owners - It only takes one reason to switch and that final build might be getting a Fermi. I hope you are reading this Terry Makedon

eh it says in the pdf

120 Hz is no longer missing from display modes for specific digital displays

I don't have a 120hz to test.

I believe scaling works just like in the older drivers. But the bug where the scaling options are greyed out still remains. At least I had this issue and when I searched on the Internet I read it was a bug...

Workaround:

Lower your desktop resolution before you go into CCC. Then the scaling buttons should be selectable. Tick the box "GPU scaling" and set the radio button to whatever scaling option you prefer.

Click apply and close CCC. Set your desktop resolution back to standard settings!

That's the only issue I have with these drivers ,no big deal since all the games I have thrown at them work fine so very happy with these and my 4870/Win7 x64 combo.

Oddly, gave me a 200pt boost in 3dmark06, but i've gained some instability in mass effect 2. i can play for a about 30-45 minutes and then the game freezes and my screen turns a strange tan color. I have to nuke it with the power button to recover. It seems to be ME2 related though, i played 4 hours of L4D2 and 6 3dmark runs without any issues.

[UPDATE] So after huge amounts of forum trawling, we're seeing the following model numbers crop up again and again: 4770, 4850, 4870, 5770, 5850 and 5870. The cards seem to be coming from all different companies; the following are the ones we've seen crop up more than a few times from different users: XFX, Sapphire, Diamond, ASUS and HIS.

well, i do have an HiS 4670...I hope it's not my card, i kinda like this thing for the price i paid. However, more notably, it isn't just effecting the 5xxx series...which makes me think it isn't the cards at all. Maybe it IS windows thing.

I'm thinking its driver related. I just picked up my second 5870 to cross-check my sapphire 5870 and it is having the same issues as well. Started out with Vista Ultimate 64 then I tried XP Pro SP3 and same issues. Oddly I don't have any issue with my 5770 as much as my 5870... as much.

well it was definitely the 10.1 for me. cleaned it out and tried both 9.12 and the newest betas and the problem disappeared. weird.

installed these and now my monitor won't turn off (i.e. suspend) properly after a set amount of time, instead it just goes blank. reverting back to the old version i guess.

Good question. I had 2 5870s (Sapphire and an XFX and they both crashed) If I was on Vista, I'm sure the XFX, which was the second 5870 I tried, it would of grey screened also. I switched to XP Pro and instead of grey hangs, the computer just would crash, no blue screen. 9.12 & 10.1
