New CCC and Driver out!

I installed these, and I'm VERY displeased. I did an overwrite like I have for years, and my CoH minimum FPS went from 46.3 to 1.9!!! I uninstalled them, ran Driver Cleaner, and then I reinstalled the 8.7's. However, the problem persisted. I unistalled the 8.7's, cleaned, and then put the 8.8's back on. The problem won't go away. This all started when I installed the 8.8's. Any ideas?

Try a system restore. Sounds like something got messed up
- clean install of Vista will work also


Has anyone noticed that there is no need for a reboot anymore in changing drivers .. uninstall the old ones and install the new ones?

i think this error is happening to everyone just restart again and it will work. Thats what i did .

tried that but it didnt work. will leave it for a few days till i get my new card

I did notice that on my system as well. I thought it was a fluke and rebooted anyway.

The no-reboot thingie is a new feature, added in 8.7 I think. Anyway, works alright here, even CCC. The one from 8.7s wouldn't start no matter what I tried.

I uninstalled using the ATI uninstall utility in Add/Remove Programs and it prompted me for a restart.

For me, it prompted me to reboot after uninstalling the 8.7s, but not after installing the 8.8s.
