You die probably a tiny bit slower than Ghosts but not by much. The multiplayer is a hell of a lot more fun than Ghosts though.

Yup, that's what I said, feels closer to Black Ops which is a good thing. I didn't like Ghosts so I skipped it last year after playing it over a friend's house. AW is really fun to me, I'm enjoying it but Damn, it's still an ugly game. They really need to work on a whole new Engine. It's still the same one they've been using since CoD3.This is 1000x better than ghost. I havent played the story yet, usually dont for at least a month, but never made it past the first mission of ghost. I hated the online too. This does have a feel of Blops and the exo suit is kind of fun. Some maps are made for it and others not so much.
It makes sense to have the maps vertical because of the Exo suit, means you have to literally be aware of all angles buy you're totally right, the maps do feel small but that's usual for CoD. And yes sniping is down a lot in this game specifically because of the Exo suit and how mobile the game is now. To me, it makes it better, less able to camp now for anyone as I hate campers.My only major complaint with AW (beyond the horrible connections) is the maps. Even the best maps of the bunch are terrible. They have the Halo 4 disease, where they made them more vertical, then ruined their lateral size, making everything claustrophobic. Bio Lab's a perfect example, as you're ALWAYS spawning on top of someone. I've never been a BIG sniper in those games (though I got the golden one in one game and diamond in BO2), but it feels impossible to snipe on these maps. There are so many obstacles, and the maps are so short end-to-end, you've always got someone right on top of you. Instinct (from one spot) is the only map I could snipe with any success, and I'm just running with the AK12 and Bal-27 as a result.
I can get with the overall gameplay, it's fine. However, these maps are just so irritating to put up with. The other complaint is how bad the lighting can be in different parts. It can be SUPER dark in a shaded area, making it hard to see an enemy. I could probably crank up the brightness to improve that, but I've always felt compelled to play with a realistic brightness setting, based on their calibration thing.
It's a massive step up from Ghosts, but I wouldn't say this is close to Black Ops 2, in terms of overall quality.

Ghosts was a million times better then this crap. I dont get why Xbox One keeps releasing trash games.I did just recently get Destiny and that is a pretty good game but gets very repetitive after playing for 8 hours a day for 4 days straight.My next planned pick up is Halo Master Chief Collection and I pray to god they dont "F" up Halo like they have "F'ed" up so many games released so far.Where are all the quality next gen titles??No Really I am being serious here where are they??I paid $500.00 to have my breath taken away from the earth shattering next gen graphics..

I just started playing through the campaign last night. Much better than Ghosts' campaign (that was just dumb). And I'm surprised how much I like the exo suit and the new abilities it provides. I haven't played multiplayer yet.
What I don't get in these FPS games is why can't they ever voice my character? I hate that he's asked questions but never replies (must be a great communicator through his eyes and body language!). I know people will say it's because they want you to imagine yourself in the game or whatever, and maybe it'd alienate a woman playing the game to have a male voice, but it's just annoying to me.
Give my character a voice. Hell, let the player choose at the start to play as a male or female soldier and have two voice packs. Use a name like Sam and you wouldn't even have to worry about changing the script of the other characters in the game based on the players gender choice.
That's trueIt is a military game, you wouldn't even need to go that far. You could call the main character by their last name (or shortened version of it) or rank and it would be entirely gender neutral.
