New Colour printer needed - Help!

I'm in need of a new colour inkjet printer.
I've got upto £250 ($400) to spend, and i've been looking at HP and Epson.

As well as for printing documents, its for printing accurate colour pictures, such as for cd labelling etc..

Any suggestions or links to printer hardware sites?

My little knowledge;

HP's put the print head on the cartridge, so you get a new albeit cheap print head with each cartridge change. This is better for people who want to refill cartridges because it's no biggie if the head is dammaged by an ink contaminant. Both seem like fine printers. Have you looked at Lexxmark? I see they have a very affordable printer with very good print quality. It seems like you can get the whole printer for the price of ink!

I just got the epson 870,I love it.There is a rebate on the 780,which is newer,and has better res.The 870 is $179.00,the 780 is $199.00(-$50 rebate)=$150.This I saw after buying the 870.Both print beautiful and the carts cost less than the hp's.Hp has the 1000,which seemed sweet,its $299.

I recently picked up and HP 970Cse and love it. Prints fast, can do high resolution photo's, and can automatically print double side. Great printer for $250USD.

I can only say good things about my Epson 870!

Got the Epson 875 DCS -- it's great!!

870 is part of Epson's "Photo" line of printers, so it' includes the special inks and everything. Colours will be accurate and vibrant. Get it.

The "Color" line of printers won't have as good colour vibrancy as the "Photo" line, but you dont' gotta pay for the inks, and the printers are cheaper. The 880 is a good choice if u wanna go with the "colour" series.
