You want the gobberment to tell businesses how much they're allowed to charge? How else could Trudeau or any other gobberment official "help" the situation?
EDIT: BTW profits are way up for all these corporations while they raise prices and blame inflation. You can choose to not be misled. That's a choice you can make.
I don't think this is a government issue, it's a greed issue. Companies raising prices on everything because they need to grow infinitely and appease the shareholders. I suppose the government has slight influence, mostly municipal governments as they keep raising property taxes every year. That and utilities raising their prices does not help either. But yeah companies could easily afford to absorb those costs, but they never would want to do that, so they raise their prices too. It trickles down and everything is more expensive because of it.
